The next morning, brought them to have breakfast at "Song River" at Gurney Drive. We had Bak Kut Teh and Char Hor Fun. Then, we headed to Penang office. This was the first time they visited Penang office. Our next destination was Kek Lok Si, the largest Chinese temple in Asia. On the way, one of the colleague suddenly said that he wanted to eat "Apong", then I brought them to the "Apong" stall that near my house. For me, its the best in Penang, and they loved it. After Kek Lok Si, we then had Penang famous Laksa at the Air Item market.
But I am not a Laksa fan though.Since they knew my house is somewhere nearby, so they wanted to drop by & rest awhile before we headed to our next destination. Well, most of them just felt asleep when they were at my house. whaha. Guess they must be tired. Later, we went to have Mee Sotong at Esplanade. Its spicy and yummy. Again, they all loved it. After that, we were having coffee at Coffee Bean at Gurney Plaza. A lot of jokes we made. It was fun. Then, we decided to sing Karaoke and have our dinner at Red Box. I never thought we could be that closed actually. After all, I am based in Penang while they are at KL.
It was around 10pm plus after the Karaoke. Then I brought them to Batu Ferringgi to buy DVD. Yeah, cheap, very cheap. Due to budget retrain, they had checked out one room this morning and 3 of them will spend a night at my house. On the way back, we stopped by Farlim famous duck rice to have our supper. When we reached home, it was about 2am. After settled them down, I went straight to sleep. Tired, too tired.
Supposed have to go to a funeral tonight, but canceled last minute and asked my friend to pass the "white gold" instead. It was a friend's father funeral. Sorry ya, Keat.
Saturday, 29th. I brought them to have simple breakfast at the market beside my h0use. After packing their luggages, I sent them back to hotel to meet up with the other 3 colleagues. They supposed to go to Langkawi but then they changed their plan to Genting instead. They asked me to join them, but I rejected. Many reasons, didn't know how to put it.
After saying goodbye, I went home, took a shower and get changed. Then, went to pick up Thim. Yeah, karaoke again at Red Box !! Met up Hong & Yit there and we sang from 2pm to 5pm. Then we had a walk at Gurney Plaza.
7pm, reached Paradise Hotel. Yeah, an old friend's wedding dinner. At first thought of not going because too exhausted. But then, I thought I might catch up with some old school friends, so changed my mind at last. Yeah, managed to catch up with a few old friends, it was nice and some of them already with kids. Still, many many didn't show their face.
At the dinner, only found out that one of my friend is actually from Kuching. All these while, I thought he was from Sabah. Then, I told him I went to Kuching 2 times this year. Then chat chat chat about Kuching, the KoLo Mee & etc.
He asked me, : " Why did you go to Kuching for ?"
"Holidays and looked for a friend." I answered.
"Is your friend guy or gal?" He asked again.
"Guy." I said.
"How did you get to know him?" Again, he asked.
I just made up some lame excuses. haha.
He then said, :"Next time if you come to Kuching, come stay with me. No need to waste money on the hotel."
I told him, : " Thanks, but I guess I probably won't be going again" :-(
At first, thought I can not to think of him, especially of what he is doing now in KL these few days with my busy schedules. But then...... sigh !
Deciding to attend the wedding dinner, that's mean I have to cancel the dinner with my best friends. Our weekly dinner. This time is CP turn to cook. As usual, he asked his mum to cook instead. ;p ~
It is very nice and sweet of him to keep some for me and brought it to me this afternoon. Yummy yummy, the curry chicken. Thanks ya, CP. :-)
He is taking 6.25pm flight back to Kuching later. Hope he had a wonderful times in KL and be back to Kuching safely.....
